Lunch at the SAN conference

Spreading information about the work environment at sea is an important task for SAN, and part of this is a one-day conference arranged every autumn in Göteborg. Health, noise, diet, exercise and crisis management are some of the subjects that have been taken up by our knowledgeable visiting lecturers, and every year one or more new themes are discussed.
We generally also arrange an exhibition close to the conference hall showing products that are related to the theme of the year.

The conference usually attracts many visitors and in addition to interesting lectures, the SAN prizewinner is awarded his or her distinction.

2010: The good leadership

Being a good leader and a good manager can be a heavy challenge, not least on a ship. As a captain you must live with your decisions around the clock; you must be clear and decisive when required, but at the same time you are part of the social community onboard.

The autumn SAN conference will have leadership as its overall theme. This will be reflected in the newspaper and on the website, where we will take up various aspects of leadership during the year.

2009: Man and Technology Interacting

”People and technology interacting” was the theme for this year’s work environment conference. The conference was held on 22 October at Läppstiftet in Göteborg and took place during the whole day. Read more.
